Wondering whether your favorite show is going to be the next to face the axe in a season that's seeing ratings fall and networks get nervous? It turns out that it's not as entirely random and malicious as you may have suspected (Although I'm still a little worried about Pushing Daisies' chances, to be honest); there may even be an art to predicting which shows have the most to worry about, according to some. But what is the "renew/cancel index," and does it really help us to know how close to death Knight Rider may be?
In all fairness, Bionic Woman turned out to be a pretty decent show. The first 4 episodes, however, sucked. By the 5th episode everything was clicking but they'd already pissed off the viewers with the tripe they served up in the other 4 episodes. When will they realize that a new show can't afford to have a weak start?
I figured Knight Rider was going to be hanging by a thread. The 2-hour pilot movie was fairly good but too much time elapsed between it and the start of the new season. You have to strike while the iron is hot, and the iron had grown quite cold by the start of this season. I struggled through the first 2 episodes but even my 4-year-old son doesn't like it, so I expect it to be gone soon. At least the original show had a somewhat-compelling story. I'm just not feeling this one.
